Robert,

Just read the last 120 messages after being out for a few days. Your work digging into Herb Greenberg's unethical handling of c-cube deserves a medal. I remember questioning Herb's accuracy and morals on this thread last summer, for which I was immediately flamed. Actually, I called him a bastard, which I think I retracted but which I'd now like to resubmit as a statement on his character. Appears that while the Globe takes the cake for Yellow Journalism in their handling of the murder of Boulder's six year old beauty queen, the San Francisco Chronicle wins the zero ethics prize for Herb's working over of C-CUBE. Herb must have a lot of his own money short cube. Or maybe he's getting something from others who are big enough to really benefit.

I decided to do a little work comparing the writing styles of Michael Wiley and Shalin Madan. While searching through old posts I came upon one you wrote way back (#3522) in which you ask if Wiley works for Herby. How prophetic.

I've found a number of striking similarities between Wiley's and Madan's styles, but need to look at their posts more closely to see if your hypothesis is correct. The fact that they both use caps, parenthesis and postscripts in a similar manner is pretty interesting. I had hoped to find misspellings of the same words by both of these clowns, but it turns out that they both spell very well and rarely misspell any words. Both of their writings are characterised by a concise, athletic sentance structure and have very similar grammar. And, as long-time followers of this thread know, they both demonstrate the same type of staccatto style when flustered, their grammar falling apart and paragraph divisions widening. Look, for example at the following. I've got a list of many other parallel structures, but don't have time to print them now.

I have no favorites...I am not in love with ESST, just convinced BEYOND ANY REASONABLE DOUBT WHATSOEVER that ESST is the low-cost producer.

Michael Wiley

i hold no loyalty, i just want to make $$$; however, the TRUTH would be nice.

Shalin Madan

I think it might be useful for those following this story to email the SF Comical's business editor and ask for an investigation. It seems clear that Greenberg's gone way beyond a journalist's ethical boundaries. And if Herb's using what he know's to be unreliable "associations" to burn cube, who knows what he's doing to other stocks? Do you plan to take this to a higher level? Do you have any objections to others on this thread doing so?

Thanks for the great work.
