George : Matter of opinion.

Naturally the higher the POG the happier stockholders will be. Goes without saying. Who doesn't want something for nothing?! However, as far as I can see, the big mining companies are doing whatever they can to lower costs to well below $200. This will ensure that they are handsomely profitable with POG in the present range. If they were not happy with POG, as it is, they would have cut production long ago. In fact, it seems they are doing whatever they can to increase production at these gold price levels. And, they are buying up all the mines/properties which they believe can be mined at low cost. Certainly AngloGold and PDG seem to be. Clearly the game, for the big producers, is one of cutting costs and being maximally profitable now and not waiting for Father Christmas.

Of course, if POG doesn't go up the marginal producers will be going to the wall. All except the ones that the Kebble brothers bought! They will quadruple in value!!
