"Where'd you get it, and how competitive did you find the various auction sites?"

Follow up;
The good, the bad, the ugly

I bid on the lap top late Sunday evening.
It showed up at my house early this morning (Wed).
Pretty amazing service to me.

Problem;
It is a refurbished Compaq that came with no manuals, and I've never even touched a laptop before. Can't even find the on/off switch. Some LED's are on but the screen is blank (kind of like I'm feeling about my brain right now).

Came with Win95 CD, but obviously(?) must not be preloaded on HD.
Problem is, computer didn't come with a CD drive, so what good is a CD?

Thoughts to get me going? (Or call someone who knows what the heck they are doing :-))

Thanks, Steve

PS Maybe a place to find manuals???
