Here's a Link to Dual Analog Service from Netcom

netcom.com

I don't think they have it in Toronto, but you
can try other ISP's and ask them. It's really
cheap as you get ISDN speed service for as little
as $50 unlimited, anytime, and you probably have
two phone lines already in your house, so there
is no phone install charges, and besides, you're
already spending for 1 line analog connection for
the DirecPC, so here your additional expense is
really only $30, not $300! If Dual Analog service
had been around 3 years ago when I put in my
DirecPC Dish, and 33.6 was the fastest modem,
there would have been NO Way I would have bothered
with this overrated Dish, and believe me, 112bps is
all the bandwidth you'll ever need for CyberTrader.
DirecPC is rated more on burst rate performance,
not on sustained performance. You may get 200bps
for a half hour, but then it will drop down to
19.2 occasionally and make you want to reconnect,
which will suck if you need this for real time
streaming data. That's why Dual Analog service
would be superior, as once you are connected, you
would continue to enjoy that full bandwidth unless
the actual Internet or ISP itself got bogged down.
