What I'd like to see is the STB deal with TDFX go through and then they go directly to DIMD and try for another merger. Together, these three could be a real contender. DIMD concentrates on the DVD, RIO, and modem markets STB absorbs DIMDs graphics card section TDFX freely shares new chip designs with STB so drivers can optimize the chip's strengths (huge advantage over buying chips on open market) If DIMD doesn't talk about merging with someone, I think they will be in trouble. Anyone else notice Dell's latest desktops are almost exclusively STB? I own STB so I am very happy to see the merger talks. I also like DIMD but feel they just won't have the bucks to compete with the competition unless they merge. All JMHO
