That's exactly right. Anyone who falls prey to this idea that somehow if Bill Clinton isn't in the Oval Office our economy is going to collapse simply reveals a lack of understanding of our capitalistic system. If you follow that logic to the extreme then we shouldn't have presidential elections every 4 years, why not just appoint a Chief Government "Manager" for life, you know, market stability at all costs.

By far the more important issue at stake here is the rule of law and it's application to all citizens, irrespective of office. That alone should be enough to make all Americans realize what is truly at stake here. I totally reject the idea that any one man is more important than our judicial system (let alone the person responsible for appointing it's officers) for the sake of a few dollars in an IRA account. It's a false notion to begin with.
