Re: Linux vs. NT vs. Unix Check out (of all places) Windows NT magazine. Linux is not a threat to the other unixes because the kernal currently only runs on uniprocessor systems. As Sun is making its API's Linux friendly what Sun brings to the table is scaleability while at the same time being able to leverage off the development efforts of Linux programmers. On the other hand, Linux challenges NT as a uniprocessor server OS because the former is far more reliable and cheaper.
