From Briefing.Com re state of market. Anyone have any other thoughts on continued downtrend? 13:00 ET Dow -36, Nasdaq -4, S&P -1.10: Market confined to a fairly narrow trading range since mid-morning as the uncertainty generated by earnings warnings and the threat of military action against Iraq have been restraining influences... Impeachment worries remain an issue, but largely a psychological one, as we would argue there is no chance the Senate will get the 2/3rds vote necessary to remove President Clinton from office... Nonetheless, foreign investors disconcerted by these developments and that has weighed on U.S. assets-- the dollar in particular.
