Young, good thought, but I thought there were "no competitors" If you notice all the price cut announcements by Compaq etc, they always take effect immediately. What do you think would happen to Compaq's sales if they said "Next year we are going to cut our prices in half." Iomega has such a jump on any competition that they don't have to worry about scaring anyone off,(I don't think) I think my reasoning about the media sales make more sense, but I can't figure why they don't either wait to announce, or make the cuts effective now.
