So this means Intel won't have anything above 500 MHz until near the end of the 2nd quarter.

Intel has had functional, working silicon on the Camino since October - and it was surreptitiously demoed at Comdex.

From the article I quoted it sounded like the PC market infrastructure (mobo makers, memory) was not ready for the Camino since it involves a complete redesign of Slot1 motherboards when Slot1 future is in doubt.
