Some things just defy logic. I bought a Dragon Systems program about a year or so ago and it is, indeed, fantastic. I suspect that they farmed out the recording device to Sony or Panasonic and they got SmartMedia in the package. That would be the only plausible explanation.

The combined markets of dictation, mp3 and other portable record/play devices will be mixed in the use of storage media. The site that I posted earlier (http://www.mp3.com/hardware/) hinted that many companies are testing the waters. This contrasts to the digital camera market where the design-ins have been quite favorable for us poor SNDK shareholders.

For the immediate future I am focused on Christmas digital camera sales and the upcomings earnings to be reported in January. This may be a pivotal juncture for those holding positions in SNDK.
