CNN is a worldwide medium..as opposed to the american networks which are primarily domestic. They don't know who Dan Rather is in Iraq, but they sure know Bobbie Battista and Christian Amanpour. CNN is relied upon heavily as a source of international information by political leaders around the globe. Its on satellite, and has been for many years. That's why I really hated to see Ted sell out to Time/Warner. Reduces the separate media voices which we need.
