Lets compare the numbers:

4Q96 4Q95 3Q95
ESST: ---- ---- ----
Inv. as % of Rev 43% 53% 52%
Rec. as % of Rev 29% 28% 41%
COGS 49% 40% 49%
Gross Margins 51% 40% 51%
R&D as % of Rev 8% 7% 9%
SGA 8% 8% 7%

Cube:
Inv. as % of Rev 29% 23% 38%
Rec. as % of Rev 43% 48% 67%
COGS 44% 48% 45%
Gross Margins 56% 52% 55%
R&D as % of Rev 16% 10% 15%
SGA 13% 12% 13%

ESST's inventory levels are rather high. It also doesn't look like
their margins are improving which you would expect as volume shipments
should drive their costs down. The level of R&D spending is rather
low, but this may be because ESST isn't committing all is resources to
MPEG development. If they can't maintain their fixed cost structure,
their margins will be adversely impacted.

I'm always open to other people's opinions, but try doing it in a
non-childish manner. I own both Cube and ESST.

Reading the dogma in your posts makes me regret going to Cal.
