David, Hi!!! RE: Dell's PE.... Drew thinks it's 35 based on 99....my father has bombed me with his interpretation of the projected earnings with so much info I would have to get a secretary to keep track of all his math...Chuzzlewit and Jim can do math...I have trouble spelling it....sure, we've debated this forever it seems...frankly, I find Dell's PE not the defining reason why I buy Dell....I assume you are looking for that answer since you asked for the PE of CPQ also....I don't follow CPQ... I buy Dell on news from Dell....that is my trigger for purchase...I don't attempt to look for a real bargain or dip.... but, rather choose any entry immediately following news that makes me drool....I buy every time with a year minimum view....recently that is expanding ...and quite rapidly my view point of all shares is going this way....Mort talking about China makes my head spin and immediately has me thinking even longer term.... Bought Dell 25 times from November 97 to November 98.....never sold a share....don't intend to for a long time...I know I'll buy more....because not buying would be stupid...the info and knowledge I have gained on this thread has me convinced of a simple basic philosophy....if you don't buy more Dell...You're stupid....the future of this company is scary....
