Barry,

You may be in a very good position short at $39.50 you got back .50 today. Certain factors are in your favor. AOL is spending money to upgrade during a time that their customer base will be eroding. If everyone who I spoke to is telling me that they are dumping AOL and everyone they talked to is doing the same, time is in your favor. I am a strong believer of market perception. You watch you will not see anymore up swings. Thus, by the end of the first quarter AOL would have spent alot of money upgrading at the same time they lose a lot of memebership. And dont think they are not worried either!

AOL'S customer service area is already trying to call up customers who dropped their service in the past several weeks asking them to come back for more nightmares. I doubt anyone will come back after getting burned the first time. Unless they offer three months free service. I doubt that will ever happen especailly since members have to file a legal suit just to get a refund.

The only thing that could hurt you with your position. Is if AOL is now able to rip off the europeon market like they did the U.S. Market. However, the fraud charges filed against them have a rippling effect and the overseas markets will also dry up slowely.

Feel good about your short position and sit tight.
