EGAD! Your post could have been written by me 25 years ago! My worst nightmare is realized I have turned into my father![not really he was a socialist but you get the point.] Well I'll pretend that I have grown in the last 25 years rather than regressed and try to defend my position.
If we do have this policy of attempting to contain Saddam [and I don't know that we should ] isn't it dependent upon impressing him with our strength and determination to see it through? Isn't this a policy based on a game of poker? Don't you believe that if he senses any weakness that he will push us to the very point of resistance? If we want to meet our objectives and I'm not sure that these are wise but since this is the road we have taken it makes no sense to be "wishy washy" about it. Wouldn't that be counter productive to our strategy? I think either revamp our entire policy or try to make it work,no? Not trying to be macho for macho's sake but for policies sake
