OK. This is what I remember. I remember living in New Orleans in the 1950's, and we could get two stations, I think it was NBC and CBS. And when I went to see my grandmothers in Biloxi, they could get ABC from Mobile, Alabama. And sometimes, some UHF station from maybe Jackson, but why bother because there was never anything good.
And then we lived in Baton Rouge, and we got NBC, CBS, and ABC. And we never watched UHF. That I remember.
But see, that's the down side to growing up in the South. And if you want to, we could talk about RCs and Moonpies, or Nehis and StagePlanks, but where would that get you? I ask, but I suspect that it would be fruitless. |
