OT~~~~ PAT--- Past time to turn IRAN into a US self service gas station or split it with some of the countries along its borders.I served in Nam with some Turkish forces and know Sadam would never give them a problem. Sadam is a mad man! The population is religious and patriotic...to the point the two tie together. There is no "teaching" them a lesson. IMO the ONLY solution is to bury Sadam and to do more than enough distruction to put the country on its knees for decades to come! With that comes the sure civilian losses..... they will be blamed on us. They will also cause the hate to be more deeply embedded. There will be bleeding hearts at home. That will cause political turmoil. To all that I say "tough shit" get on with it and get it over with as little loss to OUR service people and to as much loss as possible in IRAN. I agree with Annette,,, to hell with the "smart bombs"--- Bagdad should equal Hiroshima!!!
