I have not seen war up close fortunately for me . But I have a very good imagination which tells me that it is indeed hell. Perhaps to be avoided at almost all costs.I believe I understand what you mean by "Top dog" as this has seemed to play out every time we have had one of our little adventures around the world [ except Viet Nam ] I also understand what you were saying about the wishy washy thing. The truth of the matter is that I think that this policy has failed and should be re-thought. I don't know what should be done but clearly this is not working. The embargo is killing innocents Saddam is still there. What has been gained?
I would on the other hand take exception with your assessment that Bush could have made things better by going after Saddam when he had the chance.I have to give Bush credit. I thought he did the best that could have been done. I suspect that there would have been grave repercussions around the world had we continued that war any farther.Too many deaths, The picture of the big bad USA invading a Moslem country would not have sat well with Moslems around the world. << Who would listen to me>> On the other hand. Probably more people than would listen to me.
