===My forecast for the rest of this year and Jan. 99 earnings season:===

I don't expect the market to come apart no matter what happens with Clinton or Iraq but I don't expect a big rally either. I expect the DOW to hold at its 200 dma as we get thru these events and in general I expect the market heading higher next week.

Trading range for the rest of 98:
DOW=8700 to 9030------End of year target @ 8975.
NAZ=1980 to 2118------End of year target @ 2080.
SPX=1150 to 1200------End of year target @ 1195.

I expect at least one or two shakeouts(like the one we had this past Monday) between now and the 2nd week of Jan. that could last one or two days. Starting on the 2nd. week of Jan., I expect to see a more solid uptrend pattern that should last thru the 1st week of Feb. My targets are:

DOW=9500
NAZ=2300
SPX=1300

What happens after that and what stories could possibly move the market is something that I haven't thought about yet.

Frankly, I am anxious and planning to listen to many CCs in Jan.

Clint
