Bob,
I haven't heard anything about an acquisition but feel that the reverse split is necessary and advantageous. Peerless (PRLS), one of their competitors with a lot less talent, is currently capped at 170 million. By doing the reverse appx. 8 million shares will remain and margin buying as well as broker solicitations will be made possible.
The intent is to make possible re-listing on NASDAQ.
