Jim -
Look at the Q3 10-Q
I think that year over year comparisons of 4Q performance are a much better indicator - this is a somewhat cyclical business, and also, the first 3 quarters were an anomaly because of the inventory problems and DEC acquisition.

But the analysis of cash position has certainly taken me down some different paths - I am learning quite a bit about a different side of the business in attempting to follow this discussion. I will be very interested to see how closely the 4Q numbers match up against this discussion.

One thing seems clear - there is a lot of information available about what's going on in a public company, if you know where to dig.

I assume that DELL's position is strong from a cash analysis perspective. Have you or Chuz done a similar analysis on DELL?
