Good post, Wendy, and an interesting article. I was struck by how quickly the pollsters were able to get their data and publish it in national media.
I think we should expand polling into some new areas, such as: 93.5% of American adults think that 2 + 2 should equal 4, but only 53% of those same adults thought that 4 divided by 2 should equal 2.
I sometimes wonder if polls reflect opinion or if opinion is driven by polls.
As far as whether all the fuss is worthwhile or not, I suppose that's a question to be left to history. I think that ridding the White House of this man is worth whatever effort it takes; others are free to disagree. It will be a long time before the passions die down and the entire episode can be examined objectively. Well, more objectively than now, anyway.
As a note to bolster my contention that Clinton is not worthy of the office, here's a tidbit I heard on CNBC this morning:
The Russian Parliament is unhappy about the US attack on their client state, Iraq. In passing a resolution to criticize the US, they included in the official language of the resolution an appeal to Monica Lewinski to "calm the passions of the President."
Can you imagine? I don't know about anyone else, but it seems to me that when the leader of our country is subjected to such international ridicule, especially when his actions invite that ridicule, it is time to get a new person in the office. IMO.
