I don't think the decision for Jesus to carry the cross was made by Jesus, but by another. No where in Scripture do I read that He needed help. Did I miss it?

"As they were on the way, they came across a man named Simon, who was from Cyrene, and they forced him to carry Jesus' cross." (Mat 27:32 NLT)

"A man named Simon, who was from Cyrene, was coming in from the country just then, and they forced him to carry Jesus' cross. (Simon is the father of Alexander and Rufus.)" (Mark 15:21 NLT)

God bless,

David
