joe z, fyi just spoke to IR guy at TTE who was very responsive for an IR guy. Got the following info. He says Oaktree has been in touch with them many times. Occasionally does make suggestions or shop business ideas but have never gone beyond a constructive positive position. Began by buying convertible debt couple years ago. Convert is at $20/shr so not likely to happen. However, he did admit that we'd all be happy if it ever happened. Explained NASRIN to me a little better, it appears to be a very sensible long range plan, which may or may not work but their plan is to first get small mark-up on frame relay service which will still be a price discount to tracks and longer term offer value-add services provided over frame. All sensible. He sounded a bit skittish about NASRIN competition but I think they are well positioned with AT&T as partner. Very interesting is his comment- which he did't want to held to that Irish manufacturing facility is operating at maybe 90% of capacity today vs. maybe 40% over summer. I have no idea what the margin is but that certainly sounds like throuhput is up over 100%. Earnings released on Monday. Have a nice day. DawgFool
