The House should just drop this crap. Even if they impeach him, he'll never be convicted in a Senate trial. Does anyone here really think 2/3 of the Senate will convict and remove him from office?

All we're doing is wasting our time as we move toward the inevitable end result which is Clinton remaining in office.

Before you all get your boxers in a bunch...I'm not trying to defend Clinton. Even worse than his action and lies is the fact that he has known since he came into office that all of his enemies were scrutinizing his every move. Knowing this, and probably knowing the almost 100% certainty of his getting caught eventually, he still showed complete disrespect for the American people and the U.S. of A. by not being able to keep his zipper closed.

Most people think Clinton is doing a good job as President and doing horrible things in his personal life. But, the bottom line is this: Most people think that the questions he responded to with lies should NEVER have been asked.

There are many Presidents who have had affairs and some who have even done illegal drugs on a regular basis while in office. Yet, in American politics we have always had the "Don't ask, don't tell" policy. While I personally think this unwritten rule is absolutely insane and a detriment to our society, Clinton is simply a president who has been caught in a transition (or you might say he was caught with his pants down ;) ).

This transition is a direct result of the 50 million (or seemingly) new services out there that all have to get the scoop and report the news that the others don't have. Things that used to be overlooked (most of the time intentionally) aren't anymore. Unfortunately for Clinton, he is living his life as if he were President 20 years ago and not in the 1990s.

This has been a clear message to future Presidents that they will be called onto the carpet when they do things they shouldn't do. Thus, all this crap has served its purpose and has now outlived its usefulness.

Call it quits. Don't waste the Senates time with a trial. We've fired the warning shot over the bow and set the tone for future administrations. Congratulation we've got what we wanted. Now let's all go home.
