Gauguin, I learned a couple of years ago that I have ADD, after years of wondering what was "wrong" with me. I floundered around in school, my memory is pretty good but my concentration sucks, and I am terribly disorganized. I learned techniques for cramming. I would go to every class, take copious notes during lectures, and also while reading assignments, and transcribe my notes three times before every test, with spacing in between, because memory theory says that you have to give the memories time to "grow." Once I developed that technique, my grades improved tremendously.

But I didn't know I had ADD until a client of mine noticed that I had all my case files arranged in piles on my desk and tables and a couch, because if I file things away I forget them, and she said, you're ADD, that's horizontal filing. So, I read up on it, and she was right.

I find that when I take phentermine, to lose weight, my concentration improves. "Smart drugs" like DLPA help, too. I have seriously been thinking about ritalin.

I find that it is very easy to concentrate on the computer, and I think it is because it stimulates the neurons that we ADDers like to have stimulated. Agree?
