Okay
So its like buying stocks in a fast moving market.
If you believe the market index your trading will break strongely
at an open [either way]....you take your chances gettng filled.
Just hit it...
Otherwise to get the best price you'd have to be in the right position
over night.

Long sustained moves "right at the opening" seem to be fairly rare, I
think your practice of letting the dust settle makes a lot of sense.
