Earnings play hits yet again! Carnival Corp. Cruises To Strong 4th Quarter, Topping Estimates

NEW YORK -(Dow Jones)- Cruise-ship operator Carnival Corp. Thursday reported smooth
sailing in issuing its fourth-quarter earnings, announcing a 42% jump in net income that
topped analysts' estimates.
The Miami-based company earned $220.6 million, or 37 cents a diluted share, compared
with $155.4 million, or 26 cents a share, a year earlier for the quarter ended Nov. 30.
The mean estimate of analysts surveyed by First Call was for earnings of 33 cents a
share.
Revenue increased 39% to $728.6 million.
