Thu 17 Dec 98 News Release
An anonymous director reports
Blue Desert Mining is pursuing gold property acquisitions in Alaska and Yukon. Gold mining areas within the broad region of interest include Brewery Creek and the historic Klondike area, Yukon and the Fairbanks area including Fort Knox in Alaska. Recent staking activity has been centred around the new Pogo discovery of Teck/Sumitomo.
Blue Desert will complete a non-brokered, non-arm's length private placement of up to 800,000 units for $80,000. The proceeds of the placement will be used to finance property acquisitions as described above and to provide working capital.
The units will be priced at 10 cents and will consist of one share and one warrant. Each warrant entitles the holder to acquire one additional share for one year following the closing at 10 cents. The issue price exceeds the weighted average trading price over the last 10 days and yesterday's closing price of eight cents. The shares will have a hold period of no less than four months.
