I don't have enough information to make a decision on any of the above
or the Democrats or the Reform Party. I have a list of definite NOs:

Dick Gephardt - too liberal
Jesse Jackson - makes Gephardt look conservative
Ross Perot - no ideas on policies
Al Gore - 99% sure he's a NO
Steve Forbes - would like to see him serve as governor first
George Bush Jr - maybe
John McCain - maybe

Unfortunately with the number of attack dogs out there, most of the candidates will not reveal their positions or reveal them in as hazy a form as possible. I noticed Powell received very little support from the black caucus.

I think Governor Thompson or one of the Republican candidates may be a good candidate in 2004.

The important positions are the House and the Senate since the bills are drafted there. The Presidency is more important for foreign policy.
