Your response is so authoritative in tone, I assume you are right.
Net Long doesn't seem to merit a "completely untrue" imo. A net long might be just a whisker from a net short. I do not have the data on his portfolio, which you may have.

However, for many years Rogers has been saying on CNBC to invest anywhere but the US. He was short INTC many times and CNBC called him on that, and I recall him saying he had finally learned not to short INTC despite the fact it was way overvalued like much of the high tech sector. He has repeatedly called Greenspan's actions as mistakes inflating the bubble. Perhaps it is a case, like Cramer, where his words are difficult to translate into his portfolio.

Part of the nature of my response was to have Coby understand that he certainly wasn't a buy growth stocks at no matter what price, and hold.
