You know Thomas, you have jogged my memory and I remember him saying he was net long the us market. The way I remember it was Mark Haines calling him a bear, and although the majority of his arguments were bear arguments, Haines (and I in my living room) would look at him skeptically when he said he was net long. It didn't seem to fit with what he was saying. For example he would long Irish Bonds or Danish banks or what not because they were of so much better value than ours.

I also remember a great pick of his, U, when it was like 4. I perceived that if he was a net long, it must be a pile of special situation/value stocks.
