No, CKFR has no use for branding.

From what I have heard from CKFR they are happy to stay in the background. When you go to a bank Web Site and pay your bills it is transparent who is providing the service. Financial institutions who hold deposits own the customer and CKFR does not want to compete for bank customers (unlike Citicorp). CKFR strategy is only to sign up the national billers like AT&T ( which is actively working on their bill presentment solution as we sit here). Each bank will then use their own sales force to sign up regional billers important to that bank. CKFR is happy to collect a few pennies for every transaction. A nice razor blade strategy. Add each banks sales force along with CKFR and you have a powerful ramp up in revenue as people buy those $499 PC,s and get on the WEB.
