There is a theory that what is called ADD is simply a different kind of neurological hard-wiring than that which is not. That people labled ADD are more like hunters and gatherers, scanning the horizon, moving quickly, focussing on the goal and not being distracted by sideshows. The other type are more like farmers, they can sit still for a long time, plan in advance, stay organized. It's probably hooey, but it makes sense metaphorically. I refuse to believe that I am inferior just because I can't remember appointments, and don't hear people who talk to me when I am reading.
