I am the managing partner of an asset management company in Zurich. Since we own relatively large positions in General Magic I thought it would make sense to meet some of the people at General Magic in person.

Monday the 14th December I had a one hour meeting with Wendy Carhart and James McCormick (CFO) at General Magic in Sunnyvale. We talked about many issues concerning the company and I left the meeting with a very upbeat impression about the company's future.

For those who are impatient with the stock, please keep in mind that their mindset is to underpromise and overdeliver. So significant upside surprises will be likely while we are heading into Q1 1999.

One of the short-term surprises will be that they expect to announce a deal with a major cellular very soon, probably before the year is over.
