i agree, ed.... the notion of an ipo strikes me as ironic, too. how many times have we heard the lament... ampex is the oldest living start up around or something to that effect. i had also found the holding company mention confusing, but this could actually be a crystallizing moment. by the way, i have posted this link before, but perhaps you might revisit enigma charged with the energy of new possibilities...they would hold some fascinating keys. enigmainc.com
