Ptaskmaster..Trade online no...but discount commissions and

accurate currency conversion. Accounts can be held in Canadian dollars or converted at the exact daily currency exchange rate. We all have many places to get quotes online so I find it acceptable to call a toll free number for a trade. Commissions are higher than the $8 to $12 of an electronic trade. However, I find the difference insignificant compared to tying my hands with companies only listed on American exchanges or dealing with U.S. marketmakers on Canadian stocks. I refuse to invest just on the "short list" or deal with the horrific execution of U.S. discount brokers. It's not difficult to have two or more brokerage accounts.
