To All: I would strongly advise you all to listen to the conference call yourself.(of couse thanks to the guys for their execellent notes) If you are going to call yourself an investor(traders or even shorts)the cost of the call is the "cost of doing business". How the hell can you invest in a company and not listen to the conference call?

I have said this before, S3 management is in the top 5 companies that I have seen. I won't bore you with repeating info already stated, but I will add the call was 100% positive and this is shaping up to be as good as any company I've seen in this stage of developement.

If you had been listening to other S3 conference, two things stood out. First, there were at least 3 times the # of analysts calls as on previous calls,(my guess 20-26). That tells me interest in the professional community has taken a quantum leap. Two was the tone of management, that said to me that in 1996 they had made the transition from hunted to hunter.

From the call: in 1996 total 3D market was 8 million units, S3 shipped 5 million of them. 1997 market is estimated to be 25 million. S3 has 51% of the total market. What does that mean for S3? It means it doesn't matter what S3 does tomorrow, the next day or next week. S3 stock WILL trades in the 30's range in 1997. My only regret is I don't own more.
