The private lives of politicians has always been fair game for the media.

For his past errors, and seeking a leadership position in the context of this situation, Livingston should have expected what is coming to him.

I suppose Livingstone's and Clinton's situation are only comparable in the mind of those people who believe that Clinton was treated unfairly for his lies in a court of law.

I would think many Democrats will disagree with this comparison, and will be disgusted by this latest turn of event, just as many of them were disgusted by the Hyde revelations from Salon.

People who rejoice at the Livingstone episode fail to see that, just as in Hyde's case, the proponents of impeachment will only be strenghened in their resolve to vote for it.
