From your post I deduce that you believe in the "vast-right-wing conspiracy" that is out
to undo the election of a president.

Nah, I'm not much of a conspiracy type...too many nuts on the far right and left
to go there.

We would not be in this situation had not one man, Bill Clinton, subjugated honor to
wallow in expediency.

Ummm, okay...but we wouldn't be in this situation if a vote to censure had been
approved instead either.

Sorry..admittedly Clinton compromised the office and his honor...the penalties already
received are enormous and he still faces criminal charges when he leaves office.

His acts, no matter how seamy on a personal basis....don't justify this pandering,
self righteous, arrogant crap that spews out of the House.

Not only is the sanctimony emanating from moral cowardice, it is simply
a dog and pony show...with no hope of conviction in the Senate.

The problem the wingers are having is simply this...no matter how bad Clinton looks,
the smug, pompous attackers who want him removed from office look worse.

People are aware of the inherent hypocrisy in these proceedings.....Clinton is not a
lesser human being than his detractors...he got caught....that is the perception
anyway.

There is only so long that the House can hide behind such weighty terms as
obstruction of justice and perjury.

He screwed around and lied to cover it up...and to keep from paying through the nose
in a civil suit.

Lousy behavior to be sure....enough for removal from office?...sheer lunacy.
Agian he STILL faces probable criminal charges when out of office...
...it isn't as if he gets off..if he's not removed ...so why this peep show again?

Years hence the legacy of this incident will not be that we failed to right the moral
compass of the country by failing to kick Clinton from office....no, the legacy will be
that this House in a fit of fake moral indignation...lost the ability to see the gray area
in their haste to paint all either black or white.
