I admit I haven't tried e-bay and I'm sure it is a good way for people to sell their "old crap". I just don't see how e-bay is going to make any money. Not only is there basically no barrier to entry in this business, all the sales are by definition low margin, as your example pointed out. And except for small light items, it will stay a regional business dominated by newspapers and web sites run by regional newspapers. Or are people going to be buying washing machines and having them shipped across the country? Any thoughts on BYND? Afterall, that was my main point.
