Can you explain this: Terms of the settlement are confidential and prevent Franklin from disclosing details, including whether or not anything was paid by either party as part of the settlement.

How can a public company go to trial and not answer the basic questions? ...or is any old settlement good enough? Help me here; I'm just trying to decide to buy more. What about the poor Joe that hasn't bought any? How does this help his decision-making process?

There is a bigger picture. Frank's got 2M shares of options to sell in January as compensation for work he did back in 1996. (Remember the news item I related about Benjamin Franklin having six unmarked graves in his basement? It seems rather appropriate right now.)

Tell me to lighten up. OK, investors, lighten up. Gee, it's a curious sociological phenomina.
