I have been intrigued by your analysis of expansion of the money supply. I am confused as to why it takes so long to show up as inflation. It makes no sense to me how the money supply can outstrip the growth of the economy w/o a fundamental devaluing of the worth of the money.
Two questions, is there a site where I can find what the money supply is doing and do you consider ABX to be a reasonable buy at these levels.
Oops, a third question, is there a good history book which chronicles actions of the FED say in the 20's thru the early 30's and then again in the 60's to the mid 70's. Also I would be interested in Japan (early 80's) thru early 90's. If not, and you have a perspective, on the fed's paths during these periods, I would love to hear it.
