I think the main difference between the prism you're looking through and the prism those of us who are vehement in our condemnation of Clinton is that your's narrowly focuses on isolated incidents and our field of vision is much broader. The WSJ puts it much better than I can:

The Lewinsky perjury and obstruction, that is, is anything but an isolated incident. It is distinguished by irrefutable proof of direct Presidential involvement, but a broad, common-sense judgment has to be that it reflects a much more general pattern.

To characterize Clinton's actions in the Paula Jones law suit as a "trip up" grossly understates the gravity of his offense. His trip up lasted months and it included cynical manipulation of his employees, his friends, and the entire American people.
