I have a comment Michelle on PeopleSoft.

I really, really dislike the architecture of the PeopleSoft product.

It calls itself client server, but the reality much worse than this.

They use something like Dynamic SQL, where the same queries get sent by the client, and are put together dynamically , unlike pre-compiled stored procedures, and sent to the database.

IMHO, it's a horrible ERP/database system , and while SAP is EXTREMELY complex (I Know!), it is rock solid and uses STORED procedures, like in Oracle, SQL/Server and DB2.

IMHO too, PeopleSoft is cracking, as their TECHNICAL merits were vastly overrated and NEVER really that good.

I studied this product in 1996, and SAP and the otehr blew it away , maybe not from a business standpoint (debatable) but from a technical one.

Just because a stock is cheap, does not mean it is a value.

Ex: Oracle last Year hit 22 or so... That was cheap, but that company, while I detest their bombastic CEO ( I met him once ! Yeccchhh !), theyr are a business and technical leader.

Not so PSFT. If you have PSFT stock, dump it, as they are being Ashton-Tated, Novellized, Corelized.... weakening... weakening....weakening....

Take care
Jean
