<<do you have any experience with the cast of characters that run this thing? they are in my back yard but they are not the typical silicon valley socialites that i hear about>>

That's a tough one - Kaplan was the founder of Go Computing, one of the first pen-based computer software/hardware companies. It went under trying to compete with Microsoft and others. It was a good idea, but before its time.

The COO was formerly the VP of Microwarehouse, and the President of their European subsidiary. That seems like a good fit, since the products are similar and they are both essentially mail-order firms.

The CFO looks a little light to me, but he does have a reasonable amount of experience with public and retail companies (House of Fabric and Hermanns Sporting Goods).

Other members of the management team (VP's of various departments) all have what looks to be the appropriate levels of experience in their respective areas.

The problem is that the internet is an entirely new medium with unproven methods for selling or retaining customers. There is no way to tell if the management team's prior experience will help or hinder ONSL. Only time will tell. After all, Barnes and Noble has great management as far as selling in a brick and mortar store, but they really aren't doing all that well on the net. Compare that with AMZN, with little prior selling experience, but doing a great job on the web.
