"Anyone know if these are "Rev. A" iMacs? Most people I know in the market wouldn't care about the difference for $300 off."

Best Buy only received Rev B iMacs.

MAP = Minimum Advertised Price. While it is not legal to force all resellers to comply to the MAP, Apple has been very resourceful in coming up with ways to make resellers comply. The idea is that Apple doesn't want all these resellers to advertise at different prices and confuse the consumers. Apple doesn't mind if resellers voluntarily takes a cut in margin and sell at lower price (via instant rebates, bundling..etc) as long as the product is "advertised" at the MAP.

By the way, $999 is dirt cheap for a kick ass all-in-one machine like the iMac. It really is as affordable as any home appliance now. Anyone "thinking" about getting an iMac should stop thinking and whip out that credit card.
