Tomato My pick for 1999 is Southwestern Gold [SWG] on the TSE, they have over 20 JV's with majors ranging from south america, canada, and china, not to mention other selected spots around the globe. Majors include Teck, Cominco, Newmont, RTZ just to name a few. Peru [gold and copper] Brazil and canada [diamond exploration through their 60% ownership in Canabrava {CNB}, and china [gold] through their involvement with GPJ, seem to be the focus of this group. Most of their exploration expenditures are being covered by the majors, so little cash outlay. They have approximately 33 million in the bank, and no debt. There are about 15.5 million shares O/S, and are known to have the best management team in the resource sector. If 5 bucks/share is a little steep for your wallet, then I would look at one of their affiliates. |
