The police routinely lie under oath when giving, or rather fabricating, evidence- not to say it's right, it isn't. They're trained to do it. People don't want to know about this sort of thing until they become involved in 'the system' A son of ours was wrongly accused - but had to cop a lesser plea - when he protested to his lawyer she said 'welcome to the system'. The game has to be played.
